NEVISION AND DENMARK’S GOODCO TO CO-DEVELOP NEW DRAMA SERIES “MIDNIGHTS”

APC initiates relationship and will manage global distribution

London/Copenhagen 19 May 2016. Independent producer Nevision and leading Danish production company Good Company Films, headed by Ole Søndberg and Anni Faurbye Fernandez have signed an agreement to co-develop a new television drama for the global audience.

Ole Søndberg is best known for starting Yellow Bird Films and for producing such international successes as the Swedish and English versions of the “Wallander” television series, the US version of “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” and the “Millennium-trilogy” based on Stieg Larsson’s novels.

Anni Faurbye Fernandez was previously CEO and executive producer of Yellow Bird and, together with Søndberg, Vibeke Windeløv and Stinna Lassen, formed Good Company Films in autumn 2014.

The project in development from the new partnership is a 10 part drama series Midnights, created by Anna Reeves which will be produced by Stinna Lassen and Vibeke Windeløv with Søndberg and Fernandez executive producing.

Midnights is a political thriller set in a present world that is both familiar and strange, about Nordic Immortals who discover that they are dying amid the emerging Cold War in the Arctic.

Ole Søndberg said: “Nevision and APC have an astute understanding of global drama, making them the perfect partners for our upcoming drama series. We look forward to working with them on Midnights.

About Premium Content (APC), which is financially backed by Nevision, will help on the sourcing of pre-sales and will handle international distribution for the series outside Scandinavia.   Laurent Boissel, CEO, said: “Nevision and APC together are able to offer to the best independent drama talents like GoodCo a bespoke studio-like solution where the producer’s independence and creativity is fully preserved.”

James Cabourne, Executive Chairman of Nevision added: “GoodCo is a very exciting new company with a team that has an amazing track record in creating and producing quality drama which resonates with a global audience. The success of Wallander is testament to this and we are excited to be partnering with GoodCo on Midnights.  We are also very pleased that APC has played a key role in the project.”
